Almost a year ago I wondered what the fuss was over the SKX, and I got one. Most recently I have been wearing my SKX009J daily. I have nicer more accurate watches, but the SKX is a great beater. It looks good. It's comfortable. It's reliable. It has a certain a certain quality to it that's hard to explain but keeps me grabbing it in the morning.

I bought a seiko skx007 a few months ago and I love it, so I decided to get the skx009 which comes on the jubilee strap (my other one is the stock rubber). It turned up today it’s brand new . The Seiko SKX009 is a reliable dive watch with 200 meters of water resistance and an impressive ISO 6425 certification (more about that later). Its in-house 7S26 movement is an impressive manufacturing feat, however, rather basic, and inacurate. While it’s not the most refined-looking watch, the SKX is absolutely iconic in its history and design.
