The Daytona is almost like science fiction to me. If I walked into an AD, and there was one in the display case available at retail, then I'd buy it in a heartbeat. Since that'll never happen, I never even think about this watch to be honest. Not sure how much you already know, but if this is your first Rolex, you can't simply walk in an AD and out with a steel Daytona. If you have no purchase history, no one will put you on a legitimate wait list. That leaves you with buying from a trusted grey seller, like DavidSW or OC Watch Guy. Good luck.
